I am going to St. Vincent's for...

Patient Visitation

Visiting will be governed by the patient’s condition, patient’s preference, physician’s orders and discretion of the charge nurse and/or staff.

General visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Some patient care units have more specific guidelines which guide visitation to those units.

Visiting guidelines will be discussed with the patient family on admission or as indicated.

Children under the age of 14 are permitted to visit when accompanied by a responsible adult.

Visitors to patients in the Birth Suites during labor and delivery are restricted to those mutually agreed upon by the patient, physician and nursing staff with safety, confidentiality and privacy being of primary concern.

Visitors with obvious signs of respiratory or skin infections will be asked to visit when well.
