St. Vincent’s Auxiliary

What the auxiliary requires of you:

  • Doctor's statement that you are not contagious and volunteering will not be injurious to your health. This may be faxed to the Volunteer Services office at 930-2681.
  • 8 hours of orientation. The first session is on Monday from 7:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Session two will be on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • Annual TB testing, at the hospital's expense, is required. The initial TB test will be administered during the Monday orientation. It will be read during the second session.
  • Annual Dues of $20.00.
  • Uniforms are required any time you are volunteering.
    Ladies - Choice of:
    traditional pink pinafore with plain white, open collared, long or short sleeved blouse, neutral hose, and soft soled, white shoes. or:
    regulation pink smock with plain white, open-collared, long or short sleeve blouse with white cotton or cotton/polyester straight-legged pants. Soft soled, white shoes.
    Gentlemen - White lab coat, shirt and tie, regular slacks and soft-soled street shoes.
  • Jewelry is to be kept to a minimum. Small earrings, no bracelets or necklaces. If a necklace is one never taken off, please place out of sight or make it as inconspicuous as possible.
  • No perfumes, scented lotions, after-shaves or fragrant cosmetics. THIS IS A HOSPITAL POLICY.
  • NO SANDALS.
  • Volunteers are required to work a minimum of 100 hours per year to be considered active.
